Awarded the Congretional Medal of Honor in 2006 after throwing himself on top of a grenade while serving in Iraq, saving the lives of his fellow Navy Seals.

Ok, so this one is sad...but his selfless service makes me feel all warm and tingly-like there is so much more good out there than we know. This is the kind of stuff we ought to be seeing on the news. In fact, I didn't even hear about this guy until my friend Emily discovered the story and sent it to me. I decided to post this story on "My Happy Place", though it is sad, because if everyone were like Michael the world would be a much happier place.
